ADP has the following open position for the ADPLabs R&D unit in Porto Alegre (Moinhos de Vento), RS.

IT Project Manager

Main responsibilities:

* Life cycle management of large software development projects in the R&D nearshore unit.

* Remote liaison for the onshore Project Managers, helping to manage the business expectations throughout the delivery, while managing project scope.

* Partner with development team to estimate effort required to deliver the various proposed solutions.

* Consult with onshore management and review project proposals to determine goals, priorities, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources.

* Coordinate with other project resources such as engineering/IT staff, infrastructure provider, service teams, documentation teams, test teams, etc., both in the same geography as well as distributed team members.

* Utilize industry-accepted methodologies and processes to bring projects in on schedule, within budget, and to the customer's requirements.

* Responsible for identifying and managing project risk factors, negotiating and implementing change requests, tracking and reporting project progress, and managing internal and external dependencies.

* Schedule and prioritize activities of the development teams to balance new feature development, software maintenance, and production support.

* In a matrix organization, act as a facilitator to achieve team success collaboratively.

* Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout project life cycle.



Education and background:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Administration, or related field. Master / MBA Degree and PMP certification preferred.

* Experienced in a systems development environment. Familiar with all phases of the

* software development life cycle, and with software development methodologies and processes.

* Must have demonstrated project management/team leadership abilities. Ability to lead a diverse group of individuals to reach a common goal.

* Must possess strong communication skills, and the ability to tailor the communication as appropriate to fit the audience, with an Advanced / Fluent English.
